John Dilger

John Dilger is a Data Scientist with extensive experience in geospatial data analysis and engineering. Currently employed at SynMax since June 2024 and at Spatial Informatics Group, LLC, since September 2018, John specializes in developing workflows for forest carbon, change detection, and monitoring using Google Earth Engine and Python. Previous roles include Senior Data Scientist at Astraea, and a NASA DEVELOP Geoinformatics Fellow, where John collaborated with NASA project teams and developed tools for assessing tree mortality and growth dynamics. Additional experience includes research on forest carbon management using LiDAR data and various internships focusing on environmental science and public outreach. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of San Francisco.
