Frank Ortmann is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Spatialedge (Pty) Ltd. Frank is also the Executive Director and Lead Machine Learning Engineer for Big Data at the company. Prior to founding Spatialedge, Frank worked as a Team Lead & Data Scientist at Space Commercial Services Global Information (SCSGi) and as a Project Engineer at Stone Three Venture Technology. Frank has a strong background in software engineering, data science, and operations research, with a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Stellenbosch University. Frank has also worked as a Senior Developer at NioCAD and as a Foundation Editor at Gizmo's Freeware. Throughout their career, Frank has contributed significantly to the field of spatial data analysis and software development.
