SPD Swiss Precision Diagnostics GmbH (SPD) is a world leader in the research, design and supply of advanced consumer diagnostic products. SPD was formed in 2007 as a joint venture between Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Alere (now a part of the Abbott group, since October 2017).  

At SPD we are committed to advancing personal health and well-being, and answering the needs of our consumers, through a continuing flow of new and innovative products. Our research centre is at the cutting edge of innovation, and is fully engaged in the development of reliable diagnostic products to empower women on their reproductive journey.

SPD’s headquarters is in Geneva, Switzerland, and our Innovation Centre is in Bedford, UK.  We also have a site in Shanghai, China.  SPD employs more than 180 people.
