Steven Landau has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Steven started as the Manager of Engineering at Charm Sciences in 1984, where they worked until 1992. During this time, they honed their managerial skills and gained experience in engineering.
In 1984, Landau also began their role as the Manager of Engineering and Technology at Charm Bioengineering. Steven successfully developed patented technology for microwave viral inactivation systems and directed industrial research in the field. Steven worked closely with clients and scientists to design and execute experiments to advance the technology for use in human-derived blood products. Landau held this position until February 1994.
Following their time at Charm Bioengineering, Landau joined Dynalectrix as a Project Engineer in 1995. Here, they developed process and automation systems for various industrial clients, including Polaroid and Blyth Industries/Colonial Candle. Steven utilized software such as Wonderware, Siemens APT, and Allen Bradley PLC5 to create automation systems for film coater systems and candle manufacturing facilities. Their role at Dynalectrix ended in 1996.
Since 1996, Landau has been with SPEC Process Engineering & Construction as the Vice President - Electrical & Automation Systems. Steven has been responsible for developing process designs, piping, instrumentation, software, and installation drawings for process control systems. SPEC specializes in providing design/build services for facility renovations and process systems for technically challenging projects. Landau and their team prioritize cost and time-effective construction methods to meet owner requirements.
Overall, throughout their career, Landau has demonstrated their expertise in engineering, technology development, project management, and process control systems.
From 1980 to 1984, Steven Landau attended Tufts University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
