Ben Fields currently serves as a Development & Volunteer Services Associate and Athlete Associate at Special Olympics Oregon since March 2023, where responsibilities include processing athlete medicals, contacting athletes via email and telephone, and participating in committees such as the DEI Committee and Athlete Leadership Council. Special Olympics Oregon serves the largest disability population in the state and this year they will celebrate their 40th Anniversary. Special Olympics Oregon provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
