Michael Wood has worked in various engineering-related roles since 1983. Theirfirst job was as a Design Draftsman at KayBee Machine Company in 1983, where they designed stitch patterns, drafted, and programmed for Kaybe-matic Computers. Michael then moved to ROPCO in 1985 as a Draftsman, where they detailed from layouts, drew revisions, and created computerized bills of materials. In 1986, they returned to KayBee Machine Company as a Design Engineer, where they designed structural and mechanical sections for computerized cutting machines and computerized quilting machines. Michael then worked at Paramount-Crawford Technologies as an Engineering and Computer Systems Manager and Machine Designer from 1992 to 1997, where they designed new machines, worked closely with Research and Development, and managed a five-person Engineering Department. From 1997 to 1996, they worked at BB&S Knitting Consultants as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed and built prototype automation equipment. Michael then worked at Wepamat America as a Design Engineer from 1996 to 1989. In 1989, they moved to Leesona as a CAD System/Network Administrator and Mechanical Designer. From 2019 to 2020, they worked at Alamance Community College as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor - Mechatronics. Michael is currently employed at Sensory Analytics as a Project Manager, Senior Product Engineer, and Application Engineer.
