Andy Slater

Andy Slater serves as the Platform Enablement Lead for Observability & AIOps at Specsavers since July 2021, acting as a liaison among technical operations, engineering, and business teams to enhance the use of Observability and AI Ops tools. Current responsibilities include overseeing platforms such as Splunk Cloud and UIPath RPA, and co-managing a migration from DataDog to Splunk. Andy previously held roles at Matchtech from 2012 to 2021, culminating as the Technology Recruitment Department Manager, where management of recruitment strategies across various sectors was key. Early career experience includes recruitment consultancy positions and a short-term contract as Recruitment Manager at DXC Technology in Queensland. Andy also has a background in retail management with Blockbuster and a BSc in Multimedia Computing from the University of Bradford.
