Lee Johnston, BSc(Hons), DipTp(IP), ProfCert Glauc, MCOptom, is a non-medical independent prescribing optometrist who graduated from City University London in 2000. They began their career at Matheson Optometrists and have since built a diverse professional portfolio, including roles at Specsavers, where they became a clinical partner and co-Chair for Hampshire Region. Lee specializes in ophthalmology and glaucoma, currently expanding their expertise through training in YAG laser capsulotomy and pursuing a Higher Certificate in glaucoma. They are also actively involved as a WOPEC General Assessor, facilitating workshops and supporting the optometric workforce to enhance community eyecare.
