Nick Powers is a security consultant at SpecterOps. Nick has worked in the IT security field for over six years. Nick began their career as a web developer for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Nick then transitioned into IT security, working as a consultant for Protiviti and Rapid7.
At Protiviti, Nick worked on external penetration testing, monitoring alerts from IDS/IPS technologies, conducting vendor risk assessments, creating Incident Response Plans (IRPs), and conducting PCI-based risk/gap assessments. At Rapid7, Nick worked as a security consultant and penetration tester.
Nick has a passion for helping organizations improve their security posture and enjoys working with clients to assess their risks and vulnerabilities. Nick is currently a consultant at SpecterOps, where they work with clients to help them understand and mitigate their cyber risks.
Nick Powers has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science - Information Security & Assurance from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Nick also has certification from LogRhythm in LogRhythm Security Analyst (LRSA), Splunk in Splunk Power User, and Offensive Security in Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
