Tyler Gillson

Tyler Gillson has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Tyler is currently working at Spectro Cloud as a Principal Software Engineer on the Advanced Projects Team. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer on the same team. Tyler also worked at Datatron as a Technical Lead, Senior System Engineer, and Infrastructure Engineer. Before that, they were an Associate Systems Engineer at SAS. Tyler'searliest work experience includes an internship at SPLICE Software, where they developed core components for a Django-based software product. Tyler began their career at LiveOutThere.com as a Junior Data Engineer, where they played a role in the company's growth from a startup to a successful organization with over $10 million in annual revenue.

Tyler Gillson completed their Bachelor of Science - BS, Honours 1st Class degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they attended West Island College Class Afloat from 2011 to 2012, focusing on International Relations / Political Science. Additionally, Tyler obtained several certifications, including being a Speaker at the Open Source Summit North America 2023 from The Linux Foundation in May 2023, being certified as a Generalist Software Engineer by Triplebyte in May 2019, and achieving the CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator and CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer qualifications from The Linux Foundation in February 2020 and December 2019, respectively.
