Tim Cargol has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tim is currently the Founder & CEO of Spectrohm, a company that specializes in internal imaging using radio frequencies. The technology developed by this company allows mapping of the internal structure of people, packages, and objects without the hazards of X-rays or physical contact of ultrasound. Tim has been leading this company since October 2018.
Prior to starting Spectrohm, Tim worked for the United States Government as a Senior Intelligence Officer from September 2006 to September 2018. In this role, they focused on addressing proliferation challenges and shaping policy on nuclear weapons and non-proliferation issues. Tim'sexpertise also extended to advanced weapons, cyber, and explosives technologies.
Before their government service, Tim held the position of Director of Product Development at Weidmann Electrical Technology from an unspecified time in 2005 to August 2006. At Weidmann, they expanded the portfolio of monitoring products through partnerships and acquisitions. Tim also led the evaluation of new technologies and built relationships with technology partners.
Prior to Weidmann, Tim founded Predictive Power, Inc. in November 2000, where they served as the Director of Engineering until March 2005. Tim also worked as a Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from January 1998 to November 2000. Earlier in their career, Tim served as the Manager of Information Technology at NBX Corp from January 1997 to January 1998.
Tim Cargol completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1999. Tim then pursued further education and earned a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the same institution from 1999 to 2000.
