Rodney S. Capel currently serves as the Vice President of Government Affairs at Charter Communications, a position held since August 2017. Prior to this role, Capel was the Special Advisor to the Governor of New York from April 2014 to June 2017 and the New York State Director for Hillary for America during the 2016 campaign. Previous experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the New York State Democratic Committee and the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the State of New York. Capel was also Vice President at Mercury and Deputy Chief of Staff for the New York City Council. Rodney S. Capel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Syracuse University and a Master's degree from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.
