Sylvain Laversanne

Core Technology Expert at SPEE3D

Sylvain Laversanne has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sylvain started their career at SNR Roulements - NTN Corporation, where they conducted their master's thesis from January 2000 to May 2000. Sylvain then joined Altran as a Mechatronic Simulation Engineer from September 2000 to June 2001.

In 2001, Sylvain joined PSA Peugeot Citroën as a Mechatronic & Automation Engineer until January 2003. During this time, they contributed to the development of innovative powertrain systems and control law design for permanent magnet synchronous machines. Sylvain also worked on the integration of passive and controlled differentials for 2WD and AWD vehicles with active braking systems.

From February 2003 to August 2010, Sylvain continued to work at PSA Peugeot Citroën as a Chassis & Powertrain Research Engineer. Sylvain focused on the development of cutting-edge powertrain systems, such as Optimal Flux Weakening control and power maximization.

In November 2010, Sylvain took on the role of European Project Leader at PSA Peugeot Citroën, leading the company's collaboration within the FP7 European Commission funded project OpEneR until January 2014.

In 2014, Sylvain joined Axiflux as a Senior Control Software Engineer, contributing their expertise until February 2016.

Since March 2016, Sylvain has been working at SPEE3D, initially as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer and currently as a Core Technology Expert. Sylvain continues to contribute their knowledge and skills in these roles.

Sylvain Laversanne completed their education in a chronological sequence. From 1991 to 1995, they attended Lycée Claude Fauriel in Saint Etienne, where they obtained a baccalauréat in the Scientific Option. Following this, from 1996 to 2000, Sylvain pursued a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at Ecole des Mines d'Alès. Simultaneously, in 1999 and 2000, they also pursued another Master's degree in microelectronics and automation at Université de Montpellier II.
