Lara Lightbody

Lara Lightbody is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Director of Legal APAC at Speedcast since November 2020. Previously, Lara held the position of Head of Legal North East Asia and Japan at BT, overseeing the legal functions across several regions, including Hong Kong, China, and Japan. Additional roles include Senior Regulatory Advisor and Legal Counsel for Asia Middle East Africa at William Hill, where Lara provided legal counsel for Sportingbet PLC, and as Legal Counsel in Australia, supporting the integration of Centrebet. Additional experience encompasses work as a solicitor at Mishcon de Reya and a legal advisor at White & Case LLP in Moscow. Educational credentials include a PgDip in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Oxford and advanced studies in psychotherapy at The University of Hong Kong, alongside a BA in Law and Russian from the University of Sussex.
