Allison Wheeland has a diverse work experience in marketing and communications. Currently, they are working as the Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist, Design and Visual Identity at Spektrix, a tech company that provides ticketing, marketing, and fundraising software to arts and cultural organizations. In this role, they have initiated a complete revamp of the company's brand guidelines and updated their visual materials. Allison ensures that the design styles and visual identity across multiple regions meet the needs of the business.
Prior to this, they worked as a Brand and Marketing Strategist at Whēlan and as a Digital Marketing Executive at Guaranteed Irish, a not-for-profit business membership organization. Allison also completed an internship at smudge design dublin where they gained experience in graphic design and marketing. Additionally, they completed a work experience program at Dynamo, a successful design and branding agency in Ireland.
Allison's work experience also includes their role as the Chairperson/Public Relations Officer of the Dublin University Film Society, where they achieved significant growth in member acquisition and event attendance. Allison was responsible for writing and designing weekly newsletters and devising the society's social media strategy.
Furthermore, they completed a marketing internship at The Irish Workshop, a luxury Irish crafts online marketplace. During their time there, they worked closely with the CEO to develop and execute a marketing strategy, as well as creating a social media strategy that resulted in increased online engagement.
Allison Wheeland completed their education at several institutions. In 2014, they participated in a summer program focusing on German Language and Literature at the University of Potsdam. The following year, they attended the University of Cape Town for a summer study and volunteer program, where they explored subjects such as Anthropology and Religious Studies. Later, from 2016 to 2018, Allison pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies and German at Trinity College Dublin.
