Leland has been self-employed since 2016, providing freelance support for various startups and small companies, including roles as a mobile engineer for HabitRPG and as a smart contract developer and recruiter for Topology.gg. Previously, Leland was the founding engineer and growth lead at VStream from July 2022 to February 2024, where contributions were made to a streaming platform for vtubers. Before that, Leland was part of the founding team and served as the tech lead at Pahdo Labs from November 2020 to March 2022, contributing to a16z-backed games studio and working as a creative director and tech lead for an unannounced MMO.
