John Eaves, Ph.D., is a prominent leader and educator currently serving as the Founder and National Director of the Black and Jewish Leaders of Tomorrow since August 2023 and as a Senior Instructor at Spelman College since January 2019. Eaves has extensive experience in leadership, having held the position of Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners from January 2007 to August 2017, where re-election occurred in November 2014 with 63 percent of the popular vote. Additionally, Eaves is the Executive Director of the Global Youth Ambassadors Program since January 2013 and has worked as an Executive Consultant at TalentQuest from May 2011 to July 2016. Prior experience includes serving as the Atlanta Regional Manager for the Peace Corps from 1999 to 2006, overseeing recruitment for the southeastern United States. Eaves is an alumnus of the Leadership Atlanta class of 2001, enhancing civic leadership and community engagement skills. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s degree in Religious Studies from Yale University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Morehouse College.
