Jake Thompson

Jake Thompson is the Vice President of Pharmacy Services, Optimization and Growth at SpendMend. Jake has been in this role for 2 years, and is responsible for leading Elevate340B, now a SpendMend Company. Prior to this, they were the Chief Executive Officer of ELEVATE340B for 1 year 8 months, and before that they were a Pharmacist Auditor at Turnkey Pharmacy Solutions for 1 year 8 months.

Jake has also served as the Regional Director, Pharmacy Operations and Compliance at Providence Health & Services, where they were responsible for providing strategic leadership within the Oregon market to align system and regional operational and compliance strategies across ministries. Jake also led the OR market 340B purchasing program, and the strategic direction for the OR market Retail Pharmacy network. In addition, Jake was the Residency Program Director for the PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration/MBA residency program, and they provided compliance support to the OR market ministries.

Most recently, Jake was the Chief of Pharmacy at VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS), where they were responsible for leading pharmacy services. Jake has been in this role for 2 years 1 month.

Jake Thompson has a Masters from The Ohio State University in Health-System Pharmacy Administration, which they obtained in 2010. Jake also has a PharmD from Midwestern University in Pharmacy, which they obtained in 2008. Prior to that, they attended Eastern Illinois University from 2002-2004 as a Pre-Pharmacy student. In addition to their degrees, they also have a Healthcare Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate from Binghamton University, and a 340B ACE from Apexus LLC.
