Alan Katz

Alan Katz has extensive work experience in various roles within the scientific and research industry. Alan is currently the Director - Global Product Manager, Chemicals and R&D/New Product Development at Antylia Scientific since February 2019. Alan also holds the role of Director - R&D/New Product Development at the same company. Prior to their current position, Katz worked as the Vice President of Chemical Manufacturing at SPEX CertiPrep starting April 2017. Their responsibilities included overseeing the manufacturing and quality control of certified chemical reference materials and identifying new product and OEM opportunities. Katz served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Hudson Robotics, Inc. from June 2008 to January 2017, where they focused on developing new products and applications and establishing relationships with OEM companies. Before that, they worked at Wyeth Research for a significant period starting in November 1983 until January 2008 as a Principal Research Scientist III, specializing in computer-assisted drug design methodology. Katz also co-founded and served as the Head of Development at QwikQuote Development from March 1992 to August 2004, during which they designed and published Windows-based business quotation software. Alan also worked briefly at Ayerst Research as a Senior Scientist from November 1983 to October 1986.

Alan Katz received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo, which they attended from 1974 to 1978. Alan then pursued further education and obtained their PhD in Chemistry from Princeton University, where they studied from 1978 to 1983.
