James Konish has had a varied career, beginning in 2005 as an Assistant Nature Education Counselor for Mass Audubon. In 2006, they moved up to Nature Education Counselor, then in 2008 they became an Electrical Engineering Consultant for Next Advance, Inc and a Teacher for Bits, Bytes & Bots Computer Adventures. From 2011 to 2016, they were an Electrical Engineer II and a Sustaining Electrical and Firmware Engineer for Spectra Logic. In 2019, they became a Firmware Engineering Consultant for Self Employed, and from 2016 to 2019 they were a Senior Firmware Engineer and a Firmware Engineer for Sphero, where they were responsible for developing C firmware for BLE app-connected mobile robots and novel human interface devices in education and consumer markets. James also mentored more junior engineers in control systems.
James Konish attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer & Systems Engineering.
