Peter Zaitsev

Peter Zaitsev is the founder and CEO of Percona, a company established in 2006 to enhance database value and performance for customers. Zaitsev co-founded multiple organizations, including Coroot, which focuses on AI-enabled open source observability, and FerretDB, a MongoDB replacement powered by PostgreSQL. As a board member of EO Raleigh Durham and MyEO Chair, Zaitsev contributes to the entrepreneurial community. Additional roles include co-founder and board member of Altinity and Ivinco, as well as advisory positions with Tigris Data Inc. and EdgeDB. Zaitsev's expertise in database technology is further reflected in their longstanding involvement with Sphinx Technologies and their previous role at MigOps. Zaitsev holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
