Peter Kazansky

Professor Peter G. Kazansky is a distinguished figure in optoelectronics, noted for pioneering advancements in ultrafast laser nanostructuring and optical data storage. They hold a Ph.D. from the General Physics Institute, where they studied under Nobel Laureate A.M. Prokhorov. Since 2001, they have been a professor at the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton, contributing to the development of the groundbreaking "5D memory crystal," which holds a Guinness World Record. Currently, as the Chief Science Officer at SPhotonix, they lead innovations in 5D optical memory technology, focusing on energy-efficient and durable data storage solutions. Professor Kazansky is also a Fellow of the Optical Society of America, recognized for their significant impact on the global optics community.
