Jaime Moreno

Jaime Moreno has a diverse background in machine learning, entrepreneurship, and academia. Jaime currently serves as a Team Lead in Machine Learning Engineering at Spiden, where they lead a team of ML scientists and engineers in developing a wearable device for continuous monitoring of blood biomarkers. Prior to Spiden, Jaime worked as a machine learning focus angel investor at the Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC), where they connected investors with Swiss tech startups. Jaime also held multiple roles at Credit Suisse, including Team Lead in Machine Learning Product and Data Scientist in ML Product, where their work focused on the Single Client View program, providing a holistic understanding of client relationships and transactional behavior. Earlier in their career, Jaime worked as a business and partnership advisor at EPFL Hyperloop, a machine learning researcher at Bühler Group, an associate professor at ESCP Europe, a startup mentor at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, and an operations and project manager at Hopla! Software. Jaime also founded and served as the general manager of Integrae, a social enterprise that aimed to provide opportunities for young people through IT training and internships.

In 2019, Jaime Moreno completed a CAS Data Science & ML Management program at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), specializing in Artificial Intelligence.

In 2013, Jaime Moreno attended IESE Business School and obtained a degree in Social Entrepreneurship, with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.

From 2009 to 2011, Jaime Moreno pursued a MSc in Industrial Management and Finance Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, receiving Honors in the Master Thesis. The degree was in the field of Engineering/Industrial Management.

From 2002 to 2008, Jaime Moreno earned a MSc in Industrial Engineering, also with Honors in the Master Thesis, from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The degree was in the field of Engineering/Industrial Management.

Additionally, Jaime Moreno has obtained several certifications, including Machine Learning in Production from DeepLearning.AI in June 2022, Cryptocurrency and Blockchain from Wharton Online in March 2021, Venture Deals Fall 2020 from Kauffman Fellows in November 2020, Anti-bribery & corruption, Financial Crime & Anti Money Laundering (AML), Algorithmic Trading, and Wealth Planning Structures from Credit Suisse in 2019 and 2020. Furthermore, Jaime obtained certifications related to various aspects of machine learning from Prof. Andrew Ng's online courses offered by deeplearning.ai, including Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning, all completed in 2019.
