Stephen Hanson

Stephen Hanson has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Stephen started their career as a PhD student at McMaster Immunology Research Centre in 2005, where they worked until 2013.

From 2005 to 2014, Stephen also held multiple roles at McMaster University Graduate Student Association, including Vice President of Administration and Teaching Assistant.

In 2014, they worked as a Coop Student Business Analyst at Milton Hydro Distribution Inc.

Stephen then transitioned to the field of business development, starting as a Commercialization Fellow at uOttawa Innovation Support Services in 2015. Stephen also worked as a Business Development Manager/Consultant at Therapeutic Monitoring Systems Inc. from 2015 to 2016 and as a Consultant/Contractor at Turnstone Biologics from 2016 to 2016.

In 2016, Stephen served as a Business Development Advisor at BioCanRx and then joined Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology as a Professor in the Biotechnology program from 2017 to 2021.

Stephen further pursued their career in business development by working as a Business Development Manager at Spiderwort Inc. from 2017 to 2019 and later as a Business Development Director at the same company since 2019.

Currently, Stephen is also working as a Business Development Advisor at Whiteboard Foods, starting from 2019.

Lastly, Stephen obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management of Innovative and New Technologies (MINT) with a focus on Finance from McMaster University, completing it between 2013 and 2015.
