Daneet Steffens is a seasoned public relations manager and communications specialist with extensive experience in the fields of writing, editing, and marketing. Currently serving as the PR Manager for SPIE since January 2018, Daneet shares the organization's narrative and engages with its global community. A prolific literary critic and travel writer, contributions have appeared in notable publications including the Boston Globe, Guardian Weekly, and New York Magazine. Previous roles include communications and marketing specialist at Western Washington University, and significant positions in journalism and editorial management. Daneet holds a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College, a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from New York University, and an M.A. in Comparative Literature from UCL.
