Walter Britton

Walter Britton is a highly experienced professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as President, R&D Head, and Senior LiDAR Engineer at BeamSea Associates LLC since April 2019, as well as Senior Sonar Systems Engineer at EdgeTech Marine since September 2014. Walter has contributed to the optical engineering community as an Associate Reviewer for the Optical Engineering Journal with SPIE since June 2017 and recently held a position as a Visiting Researcher at NATO STO-CMRE in 2017. Walter's career includes significant roles at Harris Corporation as an Electrical Engineer and at Harbor Branch Oceanographic/FAU as a Staff Electrical Engineer, focusing on underwater optical imaging systems and LiDAR technology. Walter holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science from Florida Atlantic University, along with a Bachelor of Science from Walla Walla University.
