SPIEL Essen is the world's largest public fair for tabletop games. Every year, board game fans meet national and international exhibitors, discover new products, enjoy each other's company and, above all, play together. Because at SPIEL, the focus is on playing.

The trade fair in Essen, a city in the Ruhr region, is the place where thousands of new releases are presented for the first time. Explainers help people learn how to play the games, authors meet their fans and sign their works, and usually visitors can buy their newly discovered treasures right on the spot.
