Monique Schutters is an experienced customer service and account management professional currently serving as Customer Service & Key Account Manager at Spier since July 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Junior Customer Services Manager at SPIER WINES LIMITED since December 2011, and a position as Sales Administrator at GABINA from May 2010 to August 2011. Monique also worked as a Samples Coordinator at Spier Wines from March 2007 to April 2010 and as a Receptionist at Goodmen Advertising Practitioners from 2005 to 2007. Monique holds a Level 2 Wine certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, obtained in November 2019, and completed secondary education at Sans Souci Girls High School from 1999 to 2003.

Spier is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa, with a recorded history dating back to 1692. Spier's winery has won multiple awards in recent years, including Producer of the Year (Mundus Vini, Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show 2011). We also performed exceptionally at the 2011 International Wine and Spirits Competition (five Best in Class Gold medals and two trophies), and were the top performing SA winery at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles for three consecutive years. The Spier cellar has ISO 22000 certification, is Fair Trade accredited, organically certified and follows the Integrated Production of Wine (IPW) criteria.
