Alex Barton

Alex Barton has a strong background in product development and design, particularly in the toy and robotics industry. Alex has held senior positions in various companies, including Spin Master, where they currently serve as the Principal Producer for High-Tech Design. In their role as Director of Design, Robotics at Spin Master, Alex managed the design and development of popular brands such as Hatchimals, Zoomer, Luvabella, and Tech Deck. Additionally, they have experience as a VP of Operations at Lilly Rucky Ltd., working as an Independent Contractor as a Product Development Consultant, and serving as the Sr Manager of Interaction Design at Bossa Nova Robotics. Earlier in their career, Alex co-owned Blue Monkey Toys Ltd. and was the R&D/Interaction Design Manager at Wowwee. Alex began their career as a Senior Game Designer at IDT Hong Kong, ELA Division, where they designed and managed various games for educational learning products.

Alex Barton attended Keele University from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Philosophy & English Literature. Alex then pursued further education at the University of East Anglia, earning an MA degree in Film Studies from 1997 to 1998.
