Verica Simic

Verica Simic has a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in various roles and companies. Verica is currently the Senior Vice President of Finance at Spin Master, a role they have held since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Norbord from 2008 to 2019, initially serving as the Corporate Controller and later becoming the VP of Finance & Corporate Controller. Verica also worked at Komatsu Canada Ltd, a Sumitomo Group Company, from 1998 to 2008, where they held the position of Corporate Controller and Accounting Manager. Verica started their career at Arthur Andersen as a Senior Staff Accountant from 1994 to 1998.

Verica Simic completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Finance at the University of Toronto from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they attended Father Michael Goetz Secondary School from 1989 to 1991 and Loretto College School in 1988 to 1989. Verica also obtained the Certified Public Accountant (USA) certification from AICPA in 2005 and the Chartered Accountant (Canada) certification from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 1998.
