Katja Häggmalm

Katja de Gruyter is an accomplished energy and climate consultant at Brightspot Climate, a position held since July 2020. Previously, Katja served as an EHS Regulatory Analyst at Nimonik from September 2018 to July 2020 and held the role of Environmental Specialist at D&G Enviro-Group from November 2017 to August 2018, where responsibilities included conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in compliance with CSA standards. An internship at the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques allowed Katja to engage in climate change mitigation efforts and produce influential reports on GHG considerations in project development. Earlier in the career, Katja developed web solutions at TD and Aquent. Academic qualifications include a Master of Environment in Environmental Assessment and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental issues, both earned from Concordia University.
