Matthew Mejía

Matthew Mejía has extensive experience in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. Matthew is currently the CFO & Chief Strategy Officer at SpinLaunch, a space technology company focused on revolutionizing access to space. Prior to joining SpinLaunch in 2023, Matthew was an Executive In Residence at Renaissance Strategic Advisors and the Chief Strategy & Development Officer at Sierra Space. Matthew also held the position of CFO, EVP Strategy & Investor Relations at Aerion Supersonic, where they played a role in the development of sustainable supersonic flight. Before that, Matthew served as the Managing Partner at Renaissance Strategic Advisors and worked as a Senior Associate at Booz & Company and the New York Director of Aerospace & Defense Consulting at CRA International. Matthew'scareer started at NASA Glenn Research Center, where they held various positions and authored a publication in cryogenic engineering. Matthew has a solid background in corporate strategy development, market analytics, M&A due diligence, and government services.

Matthew Mejía completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics at The Wharton School from 1994 to 1999. During the same period, they also pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. In January 2015, Matthew obtained certifications in Series 63 and Series 79 from FINRA.
