Ryan van Baren

Ryan Van Baren, CPA, has a diverse work experience in both accounting and managerial roles. Ryan'smost recent position was as the Director of Accounting at SPINS, where they started in December 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Accounting Manager at SPINS for three years. Before joining SPINS, Ryan worked as a Senior Accounting Manager at Envoy Global for a year. Ryan also held the roles of Senior Accounting Manager and Accounting Manager at CareerBuilder for a total of six years. Ryan began their career at Ernst & Young, where they worked as an Assurance Manager, Assurance Senior, and Assurance Staff. Ryan also gained experience as an Internal Audit Intern at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Ryan's early career involved roles as President of Calvin College Business Forum, Sales Representative at Sprint Nextel, and Global Wealth Management Intern at Merrill Lynch.

Ryan Van Baren, CPA obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Calvin University, attending from 2007 to 2011. Ryan later pursued further education at the Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from 2022 to 2024. In terms of additional certifications, Ryan obtained the Certified Public Accountant designation from the State of Illinois in May 2015 and became a Data Analyst certified by EY in April 2012.
