Olivier Fruchart

Deputy director

Olivier Fruchart is a Senior CNRS Research Scientist in nanomagnetism and spintronics and currently serves as the Deputy Director at SPINTEC Laboratory. They have held various roles, including Vice President and President of the European Magnetism Association from 2019 to 2025, contributing to the promotion of magnetism research in Europe. Olivier's primary research focus is on the magnetism and spintronics of low-dimensional structures, particularly investigating magnetization processes within domain walls. They completed their Research Doctorate in Physics at Université Joseph Fourier and have extensive experience, including roles at institutions like Institut Néel CNRS and Max-Planck-Institute for Microstructure Physics.
