Thomas Margraf

Thomas Margraf has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Thomas began their career at Cornerstone Research Group, Inc. in 2005 as a Research Engineer, where they contributed to the development and patenting of metal coating and etching processes for elastic elements in carbon epoxy composites. Thomas later served as a Program Manager, overseeing the direction and implementation of specific projects totaling $6.5M. In 2008, they assumed the role of Business Area Manager, achieving corporate goals in the Smart Tooling business area through effective sales strategies and penetration plans. Thomas successfully transitioned the product from technology readiness level (TRL) 6 to 9, resulting in a 67% reduction in manufacturing costs and the award of a 10-year sole source contract. Additionally, they played a key role in the launch and operation of a 20,000 sq-ft manufacturing facility. Thomas then joined Spintech, LLC in 2010 as the Director of Engineering & Operations, where they pioneered the development of game-changing shape memory polymer technologies for various industries. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Engineering at Spintech, leading the engineering team and driving innovation in the company's patented Smart Tooling and composite patch technologies.

Thomas Margraf attended the University of Dayton from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
