Mike Eilts

Mike Eilts currently serves as Spire GM Weather and Climate since January 2023. Prior to this role, Mike Eilts was a thought leader and consultant at Weather and Nature LLC from March 2021 to January 2023, focusing on SaaS businesses affected by weather and climate change. From November 2018 to March 2021, Mike Eilts held the position of Senior Vice President - Weather at DTN, leading the DTN Weather Business Unit. Mike Eilts co-founded Weather Decision Technologies and served as President and CEO from May 2000 until the company's sale to DTN in 2018. Earlier in Mike Eilts's career, significant contributions were made as Assistant Director at the National Severe Storms Laboratory from May 1981 to May 2000, managing research in severe storm detection and radar processing. Educational qualifications include a Senior Executive Fellow from Harvard Kennedy School and an MBA from the University of Oklahoma, along with an M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences and a B.S. in Meteorology, both from the University of Oklahoma.
