Tom Greig

Tom Greig has a diverse work experience in the space industry. Tom currently holds the role of Regional Business Development Director - Europe, Space Services at Spire, where they are responsible for engaging with new and existing customers in government agencies and commercial organizations globally. Tom has extensive knowledge of the global NewSpace and traditional space markets and has built a pipeline of opportunities worth around $40M. Tom has experience in progressing opportunities from initial engagement to contract closure and has a strong track record in articulating the value proposition of space services to stakeholders. Prior to their role at Spire, Tom worked as a Business Development Manager at Telespazio UK, where they were responsible for securing new business wins in the EO and climate systems market and had a detailed understanding of the UK and European institutional market. Tom also has experience in sales applications engineering and bid management at Teledyne e2v and research roles at the Centre for Electronic Imaging and Detica. Tom has a strong technical background and has expertise in CMOS imagers for space applications and analyzing data from Gaia CCD radiation test campaigns.

Tom Greig completed their undergraduate education at the University of Birmingham from 1999 to 2003, earning an MSci degree in Physics with Astrophysics. Tom further pursued their education at Brunel University London, where they obtained a PhD in the field of Development of Scientific CMOS Image Sensors from 2004 to 2008.
