Spirit in Action’s holistic approach includes providing grants, listening, and building relationships with our grant partners. Spirit in Action knows that the most important element leading to food security, economic development, and social justice is the opportunity to discover personal self-worth and realize collective power. We recognize that our partners know best what they need and can create the change they envision.

Since 1996, SIA has made building relationships the centerpiece of its grantmaking strategy. Our North American and African Boards contribute time, knowledge, and vision to our work with grassroots organizations in Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, and Uganda.
