Daniel Newstead has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Daniel started their career as a Music Producer and Musician, working as a Freelancer and also being self-employed. During this period, they also worked as a Piano Teacher and Casual Lecturer.
In 2013, they joined ZOVA as a Content Developer and Producer. Daniel then moved on to SAE Institute Australia, where they worked as a Guest Lecturer in music production from 2018 to 2019.
Daniel also had an extensive tenure at JMC Academy, where they worked as a Facilities Assistant, running recording studio classes and maintaining the studio facilities and technology. Daniel later transitioned to the role of Lecturer in audio engineering and music production.
Currently, they are working at Splash as the Head Of Music, responsible for producing music in all styles for the company and providing music tech consulting.
In addition to their professional roles, Daniel also owned their own business called Newstead Productions, starting in 2008.
Daniel Newstead attended Bowral High School from 1997 to 2002 and completed their Higher School Certificate. After completing high school, they enrolled at Griffith University from 2006 to 2009. Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Music Technology degree and also pursued a B.Mus (Tech) degree. Daniel's field of study at Griffith University included Music Technology, Music Production, Sound Engineering, Music Business, and Music Marketing.
