Eric started swimming competitively when he was 7 years old. He was not very good. He made lots of excuses to get out of practice and stopped swimming altogether when he went off to college. But chlorine had gotten into his blood. While getting his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, he started lap swimming again for exercise. At 40 he entered his first Masters meet. Now he has multiple Top 10 times and state records, and regularly makes excuses to get out of work to meet Jon for the noon Masters’ practice.
