John Kunkel

John Kunkel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations management, music production, and public relations. Currently serving as Sr. Operations Manager for Machine Learning Content at Splice since August 2018, John has held various roles including Manager of Content Machine Learning Operations and Senior Label Manager. Additionally, John has been the Label Owner and Producer at Division 87 Records since August 2011, focusing on A&R, production, and sound design. A long-term contributor to The New Division, John's work encompasses songwriting, production, and audio engineering. Previous roles include Composer at Spiritune and various positions at Sample Magic, with responsibilities spanning product management and sound design. John's earlier career includes serving as Director of Communications at the Time for Change Foundation and communications director at the Greenlining Coalition.
