Mark Thomas

VP, Research & Development at Splice

Mark Thomas is the current VP of Research & Development at Splice. Prior to their current role, Mark worked as the Senior Manager of AMP Data Products at Apple from February 2012 to July 2021. Before their time at Apple, Mark was the Founder and Product Director at BuzzDeck from July 2009 to January 2012. While at BuzzDeck, Mark was nominated for "Best Innovation" at the BT Digital Music Awards 2010. Prior to BuzzDeck, Mark worked as the CTO at AWAL from September 2008 to January 2012 where they oversaw the development of AWAL's distribution platform, designed and developed iPhone applications for artists and festivals, and developed licensing platform and internal music distribution/reporting tools.

Mark Thomas attended the University of Surrey, where they received a BMus in Tonmeister (Music and Sound Recording).

Mark Thomas works with Steve Martocci - Co-Founder, Executive Chairman & Chief Strategy Officer, Stacey Lager - General Counsel, and Courtney Rubenstein - Chief of Staff. Their manager is Kakul Srivastava, CEO.
