Jan de Korte is currently on sabbatical after serving as the director of Chartering at Spliethoff B.V. since 2005, following a prior role as Chartering Manager at Spliethoff from 1987 to 2005. Jan earned a Fellowship in maritime practice and economics from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers between 1994 and 1995, and holds a VWO diploma from Antonius College Gouda, as well as a degree in commercial economics from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
