Ciara Alfaro

Ciara Alfaro is a dedicated professional in the field of creative writing and education, currently serving as an Olive B. O'Connor Fellow at Colgate University, where Ciara has developed and taught an Introduction to Creative Writing course and assisted with the Colgate Writers Conference. Ciara also contributes as a Nonfiction/Hybrid Manuscript Reader for Split Lip Press, reviewing and providing feedback on numerous manuscripts annually. At Hedgebrook, Ciara evaluates nonfiction applications and streamlines the review process. Previously, as a Branch Operations Manager at Wells Fargo, Ciara excelled in customer service and team leadership. With experience as an adjunct professor and writing instructor at various institutions, Ciara has designed and taught multiple writing courses, demonstrating a commitment to fostering creativity in students. Ciara holds a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing and Women's Studies from Colgate University.
