Gerard Otten

Gerard Otten has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gerard is currently serving as the CTO/COO at S+dB BV since September 2022. Prior to this, they were the CEO and co-founder of an AgTech start-up from January 2015 to August 2022.

Before founding their own start-up, Gerard worked at B2B8 starting in January 2009 as the owner, where they assisted sales operations for third parties, with a focus on international new business development. Gerard remained in this role until April 2016.

From July 2006 to October 2008, Gerard worked as the Sales & Marketing Director at Mondi Group. Prior to that, they held the position of Managing Director/General Manager at the same company from June 2004 to June 2006.

Before joining Mondi Group, Gerard worked at International Paper as the Sales & Marketing Manager from May 2001 to May 2004. Prior to that, they served as the Business Manager for Dessicants at ICI from December 1999 to April 2001.

Gerard's earlier experience includes roles at Unilever/ICI, where they worked as the Business Manager for Surface Coatings from November 1996 to November 1999 and as the Sales Manager for Central Europe from October 1993 to October 1996.

Gerard began their career as a Sales Representative at ICI Holland in 1989.

Gerard Otten has a diverse education history. Gerard first attended the De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, from 1991 to 1993, Gerard pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Finance from Boston University in collaboration with Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Lastly, in 2002 to 2003, they attended the University of Groningen for a Post Academic program in Business Marketing Management.
