April E. currently serves as a College and Career Counselor at Spokane Public Schools, a role held since August 2017, where responsibilities include assisting students with post-secondary goals and facilitating growth opportunities. Previously, April worked as a Culturally Responsive Trainer for the Washington Education Association, focusing on professional development in culturally responsive teaching from August 2018 to June 2021. Prior teaching experiences include ESL teacher at DoDEA, English teacher at several school districts, and a private tutor under Word Wise Literacy Tutoring. April holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Education in Cross-cultural Teaching from National University and two Master's degrees in General Administration from Central Michigan University, along with Bachelor degrees in English and Journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
