John Alvarez

John Alvarez has a long and varied work experience. John began their career in 2007 as a Laboratory Technician for International Elevator Inc. Distribuidor oficial Otis. In 2008, they joined Cibercall as a Projects Engineer, where they were responsible for leading, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting voice, data, and video communications Infrastructure Projects. In 2012, they moved to Logicalis as an Operations Manager for Colombia and Ecuador, where they led the Operations area, managing cross-functional teams of Project managers, Service Managers, Customer Management, and implementation engineers. John was also responsible for achieving the KPIs defined for the Delivery area and was the focal point between the PMO and the supply chain team. In 2019, they joined Spoonity Inc. as a Solutions Architect and Customer success.

John Alvarez has a diverse educational background, with a range of qualifications in business, management, and technology. John completed a Bachelor of Business Communication at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in 2021. Prior to this, they earned a Business Communication for Success certificate from St Patrick Adults School Ottawa in 2019. In 2018, they earned a Diploma in High Business Management from CESA and a Post-grade in Strategic Management from Universidad de La Sabana. John also completed a Digital Transformation Course for SMBs from IEBS in 2018, a COBIT 5 FOUNDATION from Intelligent Training in 2017, a SENSS from Global Knowledge in 2015, a Program Manager from Valor Ganado S.A.S in 2015, and a PMP from PMI in 2011-2012. In addition, they hold a Diploma Project Management from Universidad de La Sabana from 2010-2011, and an Electronic Engineer from Universidad Santo Tomás from 2002-2008. John also holds a CCNP Wireless from CISCO. Alvarez also has several certifications, including an AWS Certified Solutions Architect from Amazon Web Services (AWS) obtained in June 2022, an Oracle Cloud Architect from Oracle obtained in February 2022, Negotiation Skills and Persuasive Coaching from LinkedIn obtained in February 2021, a Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services obtained in November 2020, a Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate from CertiProf obtained in June 2020, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) obtained in June 2022, a Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI) obtained in February 2012, and a Cisco Certified Networking Professional Wireless (CCNP Wireless) from Cisco System obtained in September 2011.
