VP Partnerships and Innovation at Spoor

Andrew Watts has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. Andrew is currently serving as the VP Partnerships and Innovation at Spoor since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Siemens Gamesa for several years, holding various roles such as Global Account Manager for Equinor Renewables, RWE Renewables, E.ON Climate and Renewables, and Statkraft - Offshore Wind. Andrew also worked as an SGRE Representative at Norwegian Offshore Wind from November 2019 to October 2021. Before joining Siemens Gamesa, they worked at Mita-Teknik A/S as a Senior Account Manager, where they developed partnerships and secured projects in the wind industry across Europe and the Americas. Andrew also held a role at WT Biomimetics as the Director of International Business Development - Marine Energy. Prior to that, they worked as a Trade and Investment Adviser at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and as an International Business Development professional at SUR DE RENOVABLES SL (SDR Energy). Andrew started their career as a Research Team Leader at Durham University.

Andrew Watts has a diverse education history. Andrew obtained a professional certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University in 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Studies from Durham University, specializing in the School of Government and International Affairs. Andrew'sundergraduate studies were focused on Animation and Design (3D) at the University of Sunderland.

In terms of additional certifications, Andrew has completed several courses to enhance their skillset. In 2015, they obtained a certification in International Leadership and Organizational Behaviour from Università Bocconi. In 2018, they completed a course on Sustainability in the Aviation and Aerospace Industry from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The same year, they also obtained a certification in Digital Transformation from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. In 2019, Andrew further expanded their knowledge by completing courses on New Models of Business in Society and Design Thinking for Innovation, both from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Most recently, in 2022, they acquired a certification in AI For Everyone from DeepLearning.AI.
