Sunghwan Cho has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2009 at Penta Security Systems Inc. as a Software Engineer & Team Manager at the WAF Detection Engine Team. In this role, they enhanced HTTP network performance by 20% through safety static resource management function using caching algorithm, and improved the performance of SSL encryption and decryption process which used OpenSSL library. Sunghwan also utilized agile methodology (Kanban) to convert product maintenance process. In this role, they also served as Software Engineer at the WAF UX team, where they created and sustained management GUI tool for web application firewall using C# windows forms, and designed and created WAF online update system and remote control system using OpenSSL library and Linux network program. As Head of Software Development Department, they were responsible for managing the software development team.
In 2018, Sunghwan Cho joined Texada Software as a Senior Back End Developer and Team Lead. In this role, they created RESTful API for the rental management system using Python and Flask, built the Continuous Integration system using Jenkins, and built the API documentation using Swagger.
Most recently, Sunghwan Cho has been working at SpotHero since 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer II and Senior Software Engineer I.
Sunghwan Cho obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Seoul between 2004 and 2009.
