Jonathan Dumm

Jonathan Dumm is an experienced data scientist currently working at Spotify since October 2020, specializing in data analysis and machine learning. Prior to this, Jonathan Dumm served as a data scientist at Truecaller from August 2017 to October 2020, focusing on improving caller ID and spam protection through Big Data and statistical testing. Jonathan Dumm held a postdoctoral fellowship at Stockholms universitet from October 2014 to August 2017, leading the muon analysis working group for the IceCube Collaboration and contributing to software development and machine learning. Jonathan Dumm also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Minnesota from May 2011 to September 2014, coordinating offline analysis and developing analysis software. Jonathan Dumm began the academic journey as a graduate research assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from May 2005 to March 2011, where relevant research included developing statistical models for astrophysical neutrino sources. Jonathan Dumm earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011 and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Saint John's University in 2005.
